Staking half the Kelly-optimal fraction to cut the swings.

Half Kelly bets 50% of what the Kelly criterion prescribes, giving up roughly a quarter of the growth rate while cutting Variance and Drawdown dramatically. Since your edge estimate is never exact, it also protects you from overbetting a number you got wrong. The calculator shows both.
