How it works

Crypto dice rolls a number from 0 to 100 and you win if it lands under your target, so the target is your win chance. The multiplier follows from it: (100 − house edge) ÷ target. Pick 50 and you get roughly 1.98×; pick 2 and you get roughly 49.5×.

Because the multiplier is derived from the chance, every target carries the same expected value — the house edge, usually 1%. A low target is not better value with more risk, it is the same edge with a much longer tail, which is why losing streaks at high multipliers run far longer than players expect.

Target, multiplier and house edge

Your target is your win chance: set it to 50 and you win 50% of rolls, set it to 2 and you win 2% of rolls. The multiplier is derived from it as (100 − house edge) ÷ target, so a 1% edge gives 1.98× at a target of 50 and 49.5× at a target of 2. The calculator works in both directions — set the target and read the multiplier, or ask for a multiplier and get the target you need.

Because the multiplier and the chance are two views of the same number, the expected value never moves: it is the house edge, typically 1% of your stake per roll. That is unusually low for a casino game, but it is charged on every single roll, and dice rolls fast.

Streaks are longer than they feel

At a 2% win chance you miss 98% of rolls, and a hundred misses in a row is a perfectly ordinary occurrence. This is where dice players get hurt: the low edge invites big sessions and the long tail invites martingale-style doubling, which turns a slow 1% bleed into a fast bankroll-ending one.
