How it works

Bet the sum of the first and last numbers. On a win, cross both off. On a loss, add the stake to the end. Clear the whole line and you bank the original sum. The catch: a bad run makes the line — and the required bets — grow without limit.

A cycle ends when the line is fully crossed off — at that point you have locked in the planned profit equal to the sum of the original line. The risk is that a losing streak lengthens the line and quickly raises the stake.

bet = first + last

Labouchère Tracker

The Labouchère system — also called the cancellation system — is a betting progression where you write down a line of numbers and bet their ends until the line is cleared. This interactive Labouchère tracker does the bookkeeping for you: it shows the next stake, crosses numbers off on a win, appends on a loss, and tracks your running profit.

How the Labouchère system works

Write a sequence of numbers, for example 1-2-3-4. Your stake is always the sum of the first and last numbers (here 1 + 4 = 5).

If you win, cross off both numbers you added together. If you lose, add the stake you just lost to the end of the line. Clear the entire line and you have won the sum of your original numbers.

A quick example

Line 1-2-3-4, target profit 10. Bet 5 (1+4) and win → line becomes 2-3. Bet 5 (2+3) and win → line empty, profit 10. Lose instead and the line grows (1-2-3-4-5), so the next bet rises to 6 — that is how a bad run snowballs.

Why use a tracker

Labouchère is almost impossible to run by memory once the line grows. This tracker keeps your exact line, stake, and profit, and saves them in your browser so you can close the tab and come back.

FAQ
What is the Labouchère system?expand_more

A cancellation betting system: you bet the sum of the first and last numbers in a line, crossing them off on wins and extending the line on losses until it clears.

Is the Labouchère system profitable?expand_more

No system beats a negative-expectation game. Labouchère wins often in small amounts but a long losing run inflates the line and the required stakes without limit.

How do I choose my starting line?expand_more

The sum of your line is your profit target. A line of 1-2-3-4 targets a profit of 10. Longer or larger lines mean a bigger target but bigger required bets.

Is my data saved?expand_more

Yes, only in your own browser via local storage. Nothing is sent to a server.
